Inspiring Innovation

ISIC’s role is to inspire others to innovate. We bring people together to learn how developments in space – such as the availability of detailed, accurate and highly reliable positioning information – can be used by other sectors such as health or financial services. We do this through workshops that bring together people with expertise from different sectors and from both industry and academia. ISIC can demonstrate how space technologies are currently used in other sectors, and encourage them to consider how they could be applied in their own business.

Underpinning this activity are targeted training courses that focus on key issues of relevance to the space sector and the use of space technologies and data.

These workshops are delivered at our main site in Harwell and through the ISIC network sites across the UK. Through this, ISIC is creating a broad network that we can draw upon to bring the right partners together to help businesses develop solutions to their challenges.

Space inspires young people to consider careers in science and engineering. ISIC supports its members and partners in inspiring children with the wonders and relevance of space. An example of this is our work with the National Space Academy.
